BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) –The Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team returns to the course this week for its second to last tune-up before the Mid-American Conference Championship, this time traveling to the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club. The 36-hole tournament begins Saturday, April 10, and continues to Sunday, April 10, with shotgun starts.
The tournament field features 13 other teams including Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Oakland, Ohio, Tiffin, Toledo, UIC and Western Michigan.
The teams will play 18 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday in the 36-hole event. Tee times for both rounds will begin off No. 1 and No. 10 at 9 a.m. The course will play approximately 5,829 yards and par is 72. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com and via the Golfstat mobile app.
Head Coach Stephanie Jennings will use the same lineup of sophomore Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit), senior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio- Anthony Wayne), freshman Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland), freshman Sophia Wygonik (Westland, Mich.-Livonia Franklin), and freshman Paige Zolciak (Perrysburg, Ohio-St. Ursula Academy). Freshman Tatyana Nyambane (Nairobi, Kenya-Nord Anglia International School Dubai) will again be taking part in the event as an individual competitor.
