OXFORD, Miss. – Natacha Høst Husted, a member of the Danish Ladies National Team, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Ole Miss women’s golf team in the fall of 2021, head coach Kory Henkes announced Wednesday.
Høst Husted, currently ranked No. 331 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, helped Denmark win the 2019 European Girls’ Team Championships last summer in Spain.
“We are excited to welcome Natacha to the Ole Miss family,” head coach Kory Henkes said. “She has a lot of experience and high level of play on the international stage.
“Natacha has great instruction, which makes her a fundamentally sound player who plays with a lot of fight. Natacha will be an immediate impact player at Ole Miss and we look forward to having her on campus next fall.”
The Copenhagen, Denmark, native recently won the Asserbo Pokalen by eight strokes, highlighted by an 11-under, 61 during the first round of play. She finished fifth at the Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championships earlier this year where she was 4-under (68-71-74-71—284) for the tourney.
Høst Husted was given the prize for the top Danish golf performance in 2019 by the Danish Golf Federation. She finished ninth at the 2019 R&A Girls Amateur Championship in Scotland with a 36-hole score of 148 (76-72).
Høst Husted will join fellow Danish Ladies National Team member Smilla Sønerby on the Rebels roster.
