Women’s Golf in eighth after opening day of ICON Invitational

HUMBLE, Texas – The Texas women’s golf team concluded its first day of action at the 2021 ICON Invitational on Monday, firing a 5-over 581 to sit in eighth place after two rounds.

Sara Kouskova and Ashley Park, who is competing as an individual, were the leading Longhorns on Monday, with both firing an even-par 144 across 36 holes. They are currently tied for 19th place individually. Behind them, Agathe Laisne is in a tie for 24th at 1-over par (145), Sophie Guo is tied for 29th at 2-over par (146), Hailee Cooper is in 46th place at 4-over par and Bentley Cotton in 75th at 15-over par.

The Longhorns will wrap up the ICON Invitational with 18 more holes of action on Tuesday at the Golf Club of Houston. Live results will be available throughout the day on
