Women’s Golf Announces Full 2021 Schedule

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Head coach Natalie Desjardins announced the 2021 Seton Hall women’s golf schedule on Thursday.  The Pirates will participate in at least seven events this spring.
For a second straight year, Seton Hall will open the spring season with the FAU Paradise Invitational, but the event will be on a new course, Boca Lago Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla.  The event, hosted by Florida Atlantic University, will take place February 8-9.  Last year, Mia Kness (Venetia, Pa.) finished second among 81 individual golfers with a 1-under-par, 73-70-72-215, and led The Hall to a second-place team finish.  Carolina Ronchel Salas (Huelva, Spain) tied for fifth individually.
At the end of the month, the Pirates will play one of the largest collegiate tournaments in the country, the Kaiwah Island Classic, February 28 through March 2.  Hosted by the College of Charleston and held at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, last year’s event featured 53 competing schools.
Two weeks later, the Pirates will play a new event, the Stetson Invitational, March 14-15.  Hosted by Stetson University, the tournament will be held at DeBary Golf and Country Club in DeBary, Fla.  A second new event is on tap at the end of March, the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate.  Hosted by Georgia State University, it will feature two days of golf at Eagle Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.
April will start with a match play event against local competitors St. John’s and Rutgers, April 1-2, before jumping back into tournament play with the Hoya Invitational, April 12-13.  Hosted by Georgetown University, the event will be played at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md.
Finally, the Pirates will return to Callawassie Golf Club on Callawassie Island, S.C., April 23-25 for the annual BIG EAST Conference Championship.  It’s the fifth straight year that the conference’s marquee event is at Callawassie.  The Pirates will be seeking their fourth BIG EAST Championship since the program started prior to the 2010-11 season, and their second at Callawassie.  Even though The Hall won the BIG EAST title in 2016 at Callawassie, their best team performance at the resort occurred in 2019 season.
