Wolfsburg jumped to third on the Bundesliga table after cruising to a 3-0 win over Freiburg at the VOLKSWAGEN ARENA.

After Bayer Leverkusen dropped points on Saturday, Wolfsburg took full advantage on Sunday night as John Brooks opened the scoring on 21 minutes.

Wout Weghorst continued his impressive start to the season after doubling the hosts’ lead with his 12th league goal of the campaign.

Yannick Gerhardt wrapped up the win in the final five minutes as Wolfsburg claimed back-to-back wins for the first time this year.

Koln 3-1 Arminia Bielefeld

Koln secured a much-needed victory after defeating Arminia Bielefeld 3-1 at the RheinEnergieStadion.

Marius Wolf opened the scoring on nine minutes before completing his brace in the 28th minute as the hosts went into the break with a two-goal lead.

Elvis Rexhbecaj added a third goal for Koln on 62 minutes, while Sergio Cordova netted a consolation for the visitors on 72 minutes.

The win sees Koln move out of the danger zone into 14th spot while Bielefeld end the weekend in 16th position.
