What channel is March Madness on today? Times, TV schedule for Monday’s NCAA Elite Eight games

We have now reached that elite stage of the NCAA Tournament, where no more than two games need to demand your attention at a given time.

Welcome to the Elite Eight. Chalk is heavily represented in the first two games of the round, with No. 3 Arkansas taking on No. 1 Baylor out of the South Region and No. 12 Oregon State vs. No. 2 Houston out of the Midwest.

The Beavers may seem out of place among those Southwest foes, both in geography and seed, but don’t discount their path here: Their run to the Elite Eight ranks among the greatest of all time for a 12 seed and includes wins over 5-seed Tennessee, 4-seed Oklahoma State and 8-seed Loyola Chicago. Those aren’t scrubs Oregon State beat, and 2-seed Houston would be wary of becoming their latest victim.

Then there’s Arkansas-Baylor, two old teams with quite a history against each other. This appears to be the better of the two matchups, with elite defense and excellent shooting apparent on both teams. Whoever wins here will take on the winner of Oregon State-Houston in Saturday’s Final Four matchup.

Will chalk hold out a little longer, or will the higher seeds face peril once again in one of the craziest NCAA Tournaments to date? Only one way to find out. WIth that, here’s everything you need to know about Monday’s Elite Eight games:

What channel is March Madness on today?

12-seed Oregon State vs. 2-seed Houston

  • Time: 7:15 p.m.
  • Channel: CBS or Paramount+
  • Location: Lucas Oil Stadium

Oregon State’s run to the Elite Eight is one of the best Cinderella tales in NCAA Tournament history, but their play is anything but pretty. They grind out wins with excellent play from Ethan Thompson, who averages 20.3 points per game on 44.4 percent field goal shooting this tournament. Will the Beavers keep dancing, or will Quentin Grimes — 18 points per game, 44.3 3-point percentage — put a stop to their dancing?

3-seed Arkansas vs. 1-seed Baylor

  • Time: 5 p.m.
  • Channel: CBS or Paramount+
  • Location: Bankers Life Fieldhouse

Former Southwest Conference foes meet for the first time since December 2009, and the first time ever in the tournament. Think there will be a bit of bad blood? Either way, the battle between Arkansas’ Moses Moody (13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds per NCAA Tournament game) and Baylor’s Jared Butler (12.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg) promises to be one of the best of the round.
