West Orange over Kearny – Boys hockey recap

Cameron Murphy connected for all four goals as West Orange handled Kearny, 4-1, at the Secaucus Ice Rink.

The senior forward finished with three goals and three assists in last night’s 9-3 victory over Parsippany Hills and powered his team to victory today.

Drew Palent had three assists while Ethan Nativ, Calvin Tranquada and Jack Olsen each had one in the victory.

Owen Callaghan scored a few minutes into the game to give Kearny an early lead before Murphy tied it up with three seconds to go in the first period. It was the first game of the season for Kearny.

Connon MacConchie and Kevin Zidiak each had an assist in the loss.

Richie Robinson saved 47 of 51 shots for Kearny while Jackson Pruksarnukul stopped 25 of 26 shots for West Orange.
