Tim Sherwood adamant £100k-a-week Tottenham man ‘will leave’ – HITC

Tim Sherwood has told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (16/01/21 at 1:25 pm) that Dele Alli ‘will leave’ Tottenham.
The former Spurs boss shared that Alli’s style of play doesn’t suit Jose Mourinho and he will become a ‘superstar’ elsewhere.
Alli was an unused substitute in midweek as Tottenham recorded a 1-1 draw against Fulham and he wasn’t even in the matchday squad for Sunday’s win at Sheffield United.

The winter transfer window slams shut in a couple of weeks and Sherwood thinks Alli is heading only one way.
“I think it’s a style of how he wants to play,” said Sherwood. “He doesn’t want to play with that midfield player that wants to play off the front and run forward.
“He wants someone who is very pragmatic to stay in there. He’s got Ndombele, who can travel with the ball. He’s got Sissoko either side of Hojbjerg.
“I don’t think he likes the style of what Dele gives him. He’s a good lad. He’s certainly not turned into a bad player and Dele will leave the football club. He will be a superstar somewhere else.”
Whilst Alli’s future looks bleak from the outside, it would be a surprise if Daniel Levy allows his £100k-a-week star [Spotrac] to leave.
Levy knows full well the quality the attack-minded Englishman has in his boots, so he will be hesitant to part ways with him.
A certain ex-Spurs boss walking the touchlines at PSG does make things interesting and it’s one transfer story to look out for as the window nears its end.
