The Notre Dame Football team is already stacking talent for the 2022 recruiting class, and these three prospects could be next.
The Notre Dame Football team has received pledges from 11 high school football recruits in the 2022 class so far, and they are far from done. As it stands, this is a top-5 class in the country rated by Rivals, but there is still a lot of work left to do on the recruiting trail if they hope to stay there.
Since defensive line coach Mike Elston took over as recruiting coordinator, there seems to be a shift in the recruiting culture in South Bend. Of course, having a superstar recruiter like Marcus Freeman on the staff helps, but the efforts to land top-tier talent across the country is resonating throughout the staff and everyone is putting in the work.
The most recent commit of the class is Darren Agu, the edge player from Georgia who committed on April 9th. But, I expect several more prospects to end up in the class before June visits start. When all is said and done, this could be the first of many classes to help bridge the gap between the Irish and the likes of Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State.
Here are 3 that could be committed to the Fighting Irish before they make the trip to South Bend.
