Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi starrer A1 Express to hit screens on March 5 | Telugu Movie News

Jeevan Kanukolanu’s Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi starrer A1 Express will now hit the screens later than planned on March 5.

The sports drama based on hockey was supposed to hit screens on February 26 and will now hit screens on March 5 instead. Announcing the new release date on his social media, Sundeep wrote, “TFI ‘s 1st Hockey Film & the Debut of 14 young technicians …Presenting to you my most confident film to date. #A1Express on 5th March. Experience the Madness on the Big Screen.” (sic)

While the film’s principal photography was kick-started in 2019, the pandemic ended up prolonging the wait. They commenced shooting post lockdown and wrapped up the remaining schedules. Sports dramas are a relatively new genre to Telugu cinema and while fans of Tamil cinema have previously compared it to a film from Kollywood, the film’s team and even Sundeep have clarified that this film is not a remake.

Sundeep worked hard to transform himself for the role, sporting a lean physique. He has also worked hard on his abs, maintaining them through the lockdown. Lavanya Tripathi has also practiced playing hockey for the role.
