Siena men’s basketball comes up short at Niagara

Kobi Nwandu’s layup with 25 seconds left gave Niagara the lead for good in a 64-62 victory over the Siena men’s basketball team in Lewiston this afternoon.
Nwandu’s shot put the Purple Eagles ahead 61-60.
Siena’s Manny Camper missed a 3-point attempt from about 30 feet for the win as time expires.
Siena, coming off a three-week layoff because of COVID-19, fell to 8-3 overall, 8-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Siena’s Jordan King scored 13 points, but missed an open 3-point attempt from the left side for the lead with seven seconds remaining. The Saints were 1 for 15 from 3-point range.
