Lately: The Rockets’ win in San Antonio on Thursday ended a stretch with losses in four of five games. The Spurs had won four of their previous five games before losing the Rockets.

Scouting the Rockets

After holding the Spurs to 105 points on Thursday, the Rockets are allowing 102 points in wins, 119.3 in losses. The Rockets are 3-0 when holding teams to fewer than 110 points … Starting a stretch with five of six games on the road, the Rockets picked up their first road win of the season on Thursday after losing their first three road games. Scouting the Spurs

The Spurs made 40 percent of their 3s in the three games against the Rockets last season, but just 29 percent on Thursday … Keldon Johnson scored a career high 29 points on Thursday, making 12 of 16 shots. He is 20 of 28 in his past two games against the Rockets … Guard Lonnie Walker IV made 4 of 7 3-pointers against the Rockets on Thursday, but the rest of the Spurs combined to go 5 of 24. Walker has scored 65 points in his past three games. His average of 12 points per game against the Rockets is his most against any opponent … Center LaMarcus Aldridge had just two rebounds in 30 minutes on Thursday … Guard DeMar DeRozan had seven assists on Thursday, matching his career-best average per game.

Injury/status report:

Rockets

Guard Eric Gordon (lower leg tightness,) is questionable. Center DeMarcus Cousins (sore right ankle) is doubtful. Guard John Wall (sore right knee,) forward Danuel House Jr. (health and safety protocols,) guard Rodric Thomas (sprained ankle) and guard Chris Clemons (ruptured right Achilles) are out.

Spurs

Forward Keita Bates-Diop (upper respiratory infection), forward Drew Eubanks (Health and Safety Protocols,) guard Quinndary Weatherspoon (left knee surgery), guard Derrick White (fractured toe) are out.
