Former WWE World Champion Rob Van Dam has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2021. He joined the likes of Eric Bischoff, former two times WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly, Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali, and the former 3 times WWE World Champion ‘The Big Red Machine’ Kane.
Every year WWE organizes Hall of Fame to honor their former workers and current workers. Rob Van Dam recently gave his view on the WWE Hall of Fame, he wants WWE to induct ECW extremists into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Rob Van Dam Wants ECW Stars In WWE Hall OF Fame
Van Dam recently appeared on the After The Bell podcast hosted by Corey Graves to discuss a various number of topics. He said WWE should induct ECW stars into the WWE Hall of Fame;
“I would love to see Sabu inducted into the Hall of Fame. I feel like on a lot of grounds, he should have been inducted before me. He was my mentor and my trainer. I had a text conversation with him and said how I felt and that he should’ve been in before me.
“At this point, it’s all about individual choices that we made throughout our careers. It’s not just about reaching a level of superstardom where people are gonna really remember you because you impacted their lives in a positive way. There’s a lot more to it than that.
“You can’t walk out every time you’re in a good position in the business because you think the best or right move is to quit and walk away. Even afterward, the message you put out there in the universe, it’s everything combined. That’s the way karma works.
“The answer is I would definitely like to see Sabu inducted. On a legend level, I think he deserves it, and I think he would have to do a little repairing on some of the image tarnishing that has been done.”
There are a lot of ECW stars wrestled for ECW. As Van Dam mentioned Sabu, WWE should also induct the likes of The Sandman, Balls Mahoney, Psicosis, Little Guido, Super Crazy. Mike Awesome, Tommy Dreamer, and others. These athletes not only performed in ECW for years but also appeared on WWE on different occasions. We hope Van Dam’s wish comes true soon. These pro wrestling legends actually deserve to be WWE Hall of Fame.
