RCB gear up with conditioning camp | Cricket News

BENGALURU: Royal Challengers Bangalore began their preparations for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League with a nine-day conditioning camp in Chennai on Tuesday.
RCB, who face defending champions Mumbai Indians in the season opener on April 9, will train at The Centre for Sports Science (CSS) facilities at the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research. The camp will be supervised by Mike Hesson, director of cricket operations, and head coach Simon Katich.
As many as nine Indian players have completed the mandatory seven-day isolation and begun training. The remaining players will join the camp following the completion of their isolation period.
According to a RCB statement, the camp is focused on strenuous fitness drills for conditioning and strengthening regimes under the guidance of Shankar Basu.
Among the players who began training are Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Shahbaz Ahmed.
