Rampage hockey team working to improve | Sports

The Owensboro Rampage High School hockey team had to shut down a few times this season due to COVID-19, but 16-8-3 games counted until the end of August.

They were gone from November 15 to December 13 because of COVID. The Rampage are the defending Kentucky High School Champions. They play home games at the Edge Ice Center.

“It had an impact because we couldn’t get on the ice,” said Jason Link, head coach of the Rampage varsity team. “We had to adapt, overcome the situation. We did cross fit, we did things outside where we could get enough distance. We used Vox Cross Fit, I did it with them. We have found new ways to practice.

Brian Holder and Billy Payne are assistant coaches. Bruce Lindsey is the team leader.

Since coming back on the ice, they’ve been 6-2-1.
