Orlando Pirates v Cape Town City 09

DStv Premiership

Teams: Orlando Pirates v Cape Town City

Date: 09 February 2021

Venue: Orlando Stadium

In-form Cape Town City will have a chance to leapfrog Orlando Pirates in the DStv Premiership table when two side lock horns on Tuesday evening.

The match will get underway at 17h00.

Pirates missed the chance to move level on points with Swallows and SuperSport United after suffering a 2-0 loss to Golden Arrows last Tuesday.

The Buccaneers redeemed themselves in the Nedbank Cup this weekend, progressing to the last 16 after edging Uthongathi 1-0 on Saturday.

On the other hand, the Citizens extended their unbeaten run to four matches in all competitions after thrashing Bloemfontein Celtic 4-0 in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Saturday.

Jan Olde Riekerink’s charges won back-to-back league matches before they were held to a 1-1 draw by Baroka just over a week ago and will have a chance to leapfrog Pirates and fourth-placed Golden Arrows on the log.
