No chili this year but Jackson group keeps tradition of snowy golf fundraiser alive

JACKSON, MI — The 35th annual Kiwanis Chili Golf Classic was held Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Hankerd Hills Golf Course near Jackson.

This year, due to the pandemic, chili was not served.

The Kiwanis Club holds the fundraiser to support local youth organizations and other charities. Many of the teams have been participating in the Chili Golf Classic for years.

The Kurzynowski group, who are also all family members, is one such group. They were rallied together by Kathy Donaldson before grabbing their clubs and making their way across the course in the snow.

The “Kurzynowski Cocktail Bar” sled that doubled as a golf cart was pulled behind them the entire way.
