MIAC will play winter sports this year
Earlier today, MIAC voted to go ahead with the winter competition.
Basketball, hockey, indoor track and field, swimming and diving will have a regular season.
However, the conference will not host a playoffs for any of the events. Teams will be eligible to compete in the NCAA Division III Championships if they qualify.
The basketball and hockey teams will compete in a 7-game round robin schedule.
Whoever wins the most games will win the conference championship and a place in the NCAA tournament.
Play for these sports is scheduled to begin on February 6.
