MEN’S TENNIS HEADS TO SAINT LOUIS FOR A MATCH AGAINST THE BILIKENS

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – IUPUI men’s tennis has a break from Horizon League play and will travel to Saint Louis to take on the Billikens on Sunday (April 11). The match will begin at 1 p.m.

IUPUI will look to break a five-match losing streak that included two close loses to Northern Kentucky last weekend. The Jags dropped the first match of the weekend 4-3 before losing 5-2 to close out the series.

Alex Jochim leads IUPUI in singles play with six wins on the season. Ethan Mardanus-Budiono is right behind with five wins and Eric Hollingsworth has four.

In doubles play, the duo of Mardanus-Budiono and Sean Bailey have the best record in doubles play at 6-3. Blessing Benibo also has six doubles wins on the season, playing with three different partners.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS

Saint Louis enters the match 7-5 overall with a win the last time the Billikens took the court. Saint Louis beat Xavier on Wednesday (April 7) but had lost to Butler and Dayton in its two previous matches.

Both Oscar Alvarez and Adam Behun lead the team with seven singles wins. The best spot in the lineup for Saint Louis is the No. 4 spot where they are a combined 8-3.

In doubles, Alvarez and Behun are an impressive 9-1 on the season as a duo.

ALL-TIME vs SAINT LOUIS

IUPUI is 7-8 all-time against Saint Louis and the Jags have won the last two matches in the series. IUPUI earned a 4-3 win on the road last season.
