ISL 2020-21 Final, Mumbai City FC vs ATK Mohun Bagan HIGHLIGHTS: Mumbai City FC win the title with a 2-1 win over ATK Mohun Bagan and this was their third win over Antonio Habas’ side this Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 season. Mumbai City FC became only the second team to top the points table and win the title, Bengaluru FC being the other team to have done it. MCFC won both the AFC Champions League spot and the AFC Cup spot but the latter will go to ATKMB. Habas was denied a third ISL title while Sergio Lobera won his first. Bipin Singh becomes the hero as he scored the winning goal in the 90th minute. After the game, Jahouh was seen wearing Ranawade’s shirt, who got injured and had to be taken to the hospital just before half time.
Story of the Match: Bipin Singh scores after a goalkeeping howler from Arindam, which Ogbeche makes the best of and lays it off for the Indian. Hugo Boumous was taken off by Lobera as Cy Goddard was brought in. Javi’s free kick is deflected into Rakip’s path, who is just behind Roy Krishna and he puts it straight into the net. However, the goal is not given for offside against Krishna. Hugo Boumous misses a huge chance after Adam Le Fondre’s shot is saved by Arindam and falls straight to him. Mohamad Rakip comes on for the injured Amey Ranawade. Amey Ranawade has been taken to ambulance after collision with Subhasish Bose and didn’t land well. All the players were praying for him and looked very concerned. Mumbai City FC are playing their passing game with ease at the moment. The movement from Raynier and Bipin has been delightful and has put the Mariners on the backfoot. Tiri heads it into his own goal off a Jahouh long ball meant for Bipin and Mumbai are back level. David Williams strikes the ball past Amrinder after Roy Krishna stole it from Jahouh. Mumbai City FC were denied a penalty after Bipin Singh was brought down in the box by Pritam Kotal.
