Liverpool might have returned to winning ways in the Champions League against RB Leipzig in midweek, but Jurgen Klopp’s squad are still under scrutiny following the collapse of their Premier League title challenge.
With question marks against the futures of the likes of Gini Wijnaldum, Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri, the Reds are likely to strengthen in the summer.
And with Liverpool continually linked with a plethora of players as a result, here’s a round-up of today’s latest rumours.
Reds ‘make enquiry’ for Mbemba
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Chancel Mbemba from Porto.
The 26-year-old has caught the eye of the Reds after impressing in the Champions League this season according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.
Out of contract in 2022, his future in Portugal is said to be uncertain, with Napoli one side to have made an enquiry for his services.
And the report claims Liverpool have also asked after the former Newcastle United man with Porto willing to sell for €15m this summer to avoid the risk of losing him on a free.
Pulisic delays exit decision
Reports earlier this week suggested Liverpool were one of a number of sides monitoring Christian Pulisic’s situation at Chelsea, with the United States international yet to start for new boss Thomas Tuchel.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the winger could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer and there is interest in his services, however, he won’t make a decision on his future until the end of the season.
Speaking on The Here We Go Podcast via Spotify, Romano said: “Top clubs are interested in Christian Pulisic. But at the moment he wants to wait until the end of the season and doesn’t want to cause problems. But if it continues like this, Pulisic will be one of the candidates to leave this summer.”

Liverpool could reignite interest in Dembele
Sticking with Romano, the journalist has also claimed Liverpool could reignite their interest in Ousmane Dembele this summer.
The Reds have repeatedly been linked with a move for the Barcelona forward and have been confirmed by Romano as one side interested in his services.
However, the La Liga giants would prefer to keep the France international and hope to get him to extend his contract which is set to expire in 2022.
“They can’t lose this kind of player for free, they spent over €100m to sign him from Borussia Dortmund years ago. So they are going to negotiate with Dembele, they want to keep Dembele,” he said on The Here We Go Podcast,
“They know that important clubs from the Premier League are looking at him. I’ll mention Juventus in Italy, I’ll mention Liverpool and Manchester United who were looking at him last summer and they’re always interested in this player, but it’s up to Barcelona, they will decide and they will negotiate with Dembele, because tthey want to keep Ousmane Dembele.”
