Krtin Udith Leads the Majors Through Round One of the SAA Golf Championships

BRASELTON, Ga. – The Millsaps men’s and women’s golf teams began Round One of three days of competition at the SAA Golf Championships on Friday. Sophomore Krtin Udith leads the Majors through 18 holes, with two rounds to go at the Château Élan Golf Club.

The men sit in seventh with a combined score of 327 (+35) but are only nine strokes back of fifth-place Rhodes.

Udith fired a first-round score of 77 to finish the par-73 course at four-over, which ties him for 11th on the leaderboard. He posted one eagle and three birdies on the day.

Classmate Andrew Lovejoy sits four back at eight-over in a tie for 23rd. Gabe Brooks (tied for 31st) posted a 10-over for an 83, courtesy of three birdies.

Charlie Ellery and Harrison Rhymes are one stroke apart in determining the final Major scorer. Ellery sits a 13-over while Rhymes is right behind at 14-over.

On the women’s side, sophomore Kati Albright scored a 24-over and junior Lindsey Gordon tallied a 26-over to hold at 32nd and 34th position, respectively.

The men are competing on a 6,764-yard course while the women cover 5,900 yards.

Millsaps will return for Round Two on Saturday, beginning at 7:36 a.m. CT.
