The English County Championship will head into its second week as Kent host Yorkshire at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. This will be a group 3 encounter as both teams aim to register their first wins of the competition after playing out a draw in their first game. Kent’s season opener saw them play a stalemate against Northamptonshire in a high-scoring encounter. However, they gained extra points for taking a slender first-innings lead of 21 runs.

Meanwhile, Yorkshire played out a tense draw with Glamorgan at Headingley. Despite being asked to chase 379 on the final after a disappointing effort in the first-innings, the Yorks kept their cool and played out a draw on the final day.

Many English international such as test captain Joe Root, Joe Denly, Dom Bless, and David Willey will feature in this game. Former South Africa wicket-keeper batsman Heino Kuhn’s signing has given Kent a massive boost. Due to their participation in the IPL, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, David Malan are not part of the two sides’ county season for the first two months of the season.
