Hidden Valley football and boys soccer suspended

GRANTS PASS, Ore— Hidden Valley football and boys soccer practices and games are being suspended because of COVID safety protocols. The Three Rivers School District made the announcement on Wednesday.

“Due to a positive COVID test result, COVID safety protocols have been implemented and contact tracing procedures are currently underway,” said Director of Athletics Casey Alderson. “The decision by the district is in line with guidelines laid out be ODE and OSAA to ensure no one gets unnecessarily sick.”

All Hidden Valley football activities are suspended through March 25. That includes March 19’s game against Mazama and March 26’s game with North Valley.

NewsWatch 12’s Sports’ Josh Shelton confirmed via Twitter that Mazama Football is currently searching for a replacement game for Friday or Saturday.

“According to Mazama AD and head football coach Vic Lease, @FootballMazama is actively searching for a replacement game.”

All Hidden Valley boys soccer activities through March 25 are also suspended. That includes the game vs North Valley on March 18.
