Fire Damages Newport Beach Tennis Club

A fire at the Newport Beach Tennis Club Monday evening was extinguished by firefighters in about 15 minutes.
Newport Beach and Costa Mesa fire department crews responded to the club, located at 2601 Eastbluff Drive, about 9:50 p.m. after the club’s alarm company called to report the blaze.
Fire and smoke located in a lower level of the club was extinguished by firefighters and an active sprinkler system shortly after 10 p.m.
No injuries were immediately reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
