Well, well, well. It’s the day everyone in the tennis world has been waiting for. Roger Federer is back on a tennis court. His return in Doha just so happens to strike on a busy tennis week, so busy that we’ve got some big contests available at DraftKings. With so many options out there, we take a look at options to consider for your fantasy tennis rosters on DraftKings.

High-priced Options

Jannik Sinner ($10,500)

So, I don’t love many high-priced options at all on this slate, and I love attacking the lower-cost options, particularly in GPPs. Sinner is one of the two guys I see as worth paying up for because he’s one of the few I really can’t see losing. Sinner hardly has bad losses these days, and the times he’s been pushed lately have come either against elite talent or big servers. He was pushed to the brink by Gregoire Barrere in his last match, who has a giant serve, and lost to Aljaz Bedene last week in Montpellier, who is (surprisingly) one of the top servers on tour. If there’s one thing Hugo Gaston ($4,500) certainly can’t do, it’s dominate on serve. He lacks power and plays a finesse game, which Sinner should take full advantage of. He has the variety to keep up with Gaston’s tricky shots and has the power to blast him off the court. Sinner should clean this up easily.

Laslo Djere ($9,400)

I have to hold my nose as I type out the price next to this name, but Djere really is in a great spot this season. His opponent Pedro Sousa ($5,900) picked up just his second win of the year in his last match and it came against a very out-of-form Leo Mayer. Djere’s power will really make a big impact on these fast clay courts in Santiago, which are in high altitude conditions. We’ve seen several big servers this week, like Nicolas Jarry, look untouchable on these courts. Djere’s clay-court prowess mixed with favorable conditions should make him a safe bet to win in straight sets on Wednesday.

Value FLEX Options

Roger Federer ($8,700)

Here’s where it gets fun. This could be chalky in GPPs, but I love grabbing Federer here at a steep discount because he’s coming off the knee injury. He’s 4-0 lifetime against Dan Evans ($6,600), who is a very solid all-around tennis player but wasn’t overly impressive in his first-round match against Jeremy Chardy. There’s not a whole lot to go off with Federer, but it’s important to note that this is just a short flight from his home in Dubai, the conditions will be warm and the court will be fast. This is a picture-perfect setting for Federer’s return, and you can be sure he wouldn’t be coming back unless he was 100% sure he could win matches from the jump. I like taking him here a lot.

Holger Rune ($5,100)

Here’s a guy you absolutely have to get in your lineup. Rune is the world’s No. 1 junior, and he finally was able to win his first main-draw match on Tuesday in pretty convincing fashion. He features relentless groundstrokes and has the point construction skills to dominate on clay. I actually think he has a chance here to beat Benoit Paire ($9,800) in straight sets. Paire is one of my favorite players to watch, but it’s because he’s entertaining, not because he’s solid. Rune should be able to get under Paire’s skin with his relentlessness and speed, taking away his beloved drop shot and making him run a lot — something he also hates to do. Paire’s form has yet to climb back to where it was in 2019 when he rose up the ranks and earned the kind of respect he’s getting with that price. I don’t see any reason why Rune should be this cheap.

Others to consider: Frances Tiafoe ($8,500), Vasek Pospisil ($6,300)
