The lovebirds around the world are celebrating Valentine’s Day today (February 14). Named after Saint Valentine, the day was first celebrated thousands of years ago and it still holds a special place in the hearts of lovebirds.

Indian cricketers are also not behind when it comes to expressing love for their soulmates and many of them took to social media to celebrate the special day. Harbhajan Singh, who is quite active on social media, led from the front and wrote a special message for his wife, Geeta Basra. The couple had tied the knot in 2015. Harbhajan and Geeta were blessed with a baby girl next year. “There are only two times that I want to be with you—now and forever,” he wrote on Twitter.

Dinesh Karthik, who is married to Indian squash player Dipika Pallikal, also came up with a special message for his wife. “My favourite place in the world is next to you,” he wrote.

Manoj Tiwary, who will be missing Vijay Hazare Trophy due to a knee issue, also came up with a special message and wrote: “No matter how busy we get, we will always be the loving sweethearts. This Valentine’s Day let’s remember all the beautiful and cool moments we spent together Happy Valentine’s Day my love.” Check out the reactions –

Since the members of the national team are playing the 2nd Test match, they haven’t posted any message on social media. As per the protocols, the players aren’t allowed to carry any communicable device in the dressing room. They are expected to tweet for their partners by the evening.
