Cowboy Tennis Dominates Tulsa, 7-0

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s men’s tennis team improved to 2-0 on the year after knocking off Tulsa, 7-0, this afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center. 

The Cowboys began the day by claiming the doubles point over the Golden Hurricane. Senior Matej Vocel and junior Emile Hudd started things off, as this duo took down Connor Di Marco and Kody Pearson, 6-4. The Pokes grabbed a 1-0 lead when senior Henrik Korsgaard and freshman Matisse Bobichon defeated Tulsa’s Ezequiel Santalla and Daniel Siddall on court three, 6-4. Senior Dominik Kellovsky and sophomore Etienne Donnet fell to Juan Pablo Cenoz and Stefan Hampe, 5-6. 

In singles action, the Cowboys showed no signs of slowing down. Dominik Kellovsky secured the first point defeating Ezequiel Santalla, 6-2, 6-4. Matej Vocel defeated Kody Pearson, 6-4, 6-4 followed by Matisse Bobichon beating Daniel Siddall, 6-2, 7-5. Etienne Donnet took down Juan Pablo Cenoz, 6-4, 6-3. To finish off the sweep Henrik Korsgaard came back to defeat Stefan Hampe 6-7, 7-5,10-4 in a three-set thriller. 

The Cowboys will continue their homestand against Oral Roberts on Monday at 2 p.m.
