College Baseball Player Hits Two Grand Slams In First Two Career At Bats… In The SAME INNING

Baseball is BACK.

MLB pitchers and catchers have reported, position players are starting to report as well, and the college season is already underway.

And for one Florida Atlantic player, the season kicked off with a bang.

In last night’s contest between FAU and the University of Central Florida, freshman catcher Caleb Pendleton stepped to the dish for the very first time in his collegiate career… and he parked a grand slam over the left field wall.

And then in his second at bat, he did it AGAIN.

Two career at bats, two grand slams… and in the same inning.

The only player to ever hit two grand slams in the same inning is Fernando Tatis Sr., who did so playing for the Cardinals in 1999. The double salami came as part of a 12-run 2nd inning for FAU.
