The entirety of Scottish football will be keeping a keen eye tonight on a game that has become one of the most controversial fixtures in our game’s recent history.
The first hint of uproar came back in November, when the Easter Road club were left “fizzing” after the game was moved back 48 hours to this very Monday night.
The reasoning behind the change was that Parkhead manager Neil Lennon wanted to take his players to the Emirati city for a season-reviving warm weather training camp.
Now he won’t even be in the dugout.
Lennon, two other members of staff and a total of 13 players have been forced into self-isolation after Christopher Jullien tested positive for the virus upon his return from the UAE.
Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer, Ryan Christie and Scott Brown leads the major absences from the Celtic side.
Hibs, meanwhile, have new keeper Matt Macey in goal as Jack Ross names a strong side.
Celtic XI: Hazard, Duffy, Soro, Turnbull, Rogic, Johnston, Frimpong, McGregor, Harper, Welsh, Laxalt. Subs: Doohan, Taylor, Connell, Coffey, Okoflex, Henderson, Ralston, Hjelde, Karamoko
Hibs XI: Macey, P. McGinn, Porteous, Hanlon, Doig, Hallberg, Gogic, Wright, Newell, Murphy, Nisbet. Subs: Dabrowski, Gray, McGregor, Stevenson, S. McGinn, Mallan, Bradley, Gullan, Doidge.
