Burke (15-4): Johnny Rozeboom paced the Cougars with 19 points, while Bryce Frank followed with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. Ben Witt added 13 points and Nick Nelson recorded 11 points and seven assists. Brogan Glover hauled in 10 rebounds. The Cougars host Avon on Friday.

Colome (4-15): Rett Bertram paced the Cowboys with 15 points and five rebounds. The Cowboys host Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Friday.

SALEM — Mount Vernon/Plankinton pulled away from McCook Central/Montrose for a boys basketball victory on Monday.

Mount Vernon/Plankinton (7-13): Reed Rus scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Kolby Kayser chipped in 12 points for the Titans. Nathan Hohn recorded nine points and six boards in the win. The Titans next play in the Region 5A tournament, which starts March 1.
McCook Central/Montrose (6-13): Gavin Gordon scored 15 points. Kyle DeBoer added eight points and two steals, while Boston Katzer recorded eight points and three steals. The Fighting Cougars travel to Baltic on Friday.

Wagner (10-10): Nolan Carda scored a team-best 17 points. Dustin Honomichl and Toby Zephier chipped in 14 points, while Honomichl also grabbed seven rebounds. Simon Freier added 10 points. The Red Raiders next play in the Region 5A tournament, which starts March 1.
