7-yr-old Ojaswani shines at golf meet : The Tribune India

Seven-year-old golfer Ojaswani Saraswat from the Mohali Golf Range (MGR) won the Indian Golf Union (IGU) National-Level Junior Feeder Tour 2021 Event-1 conducted at Jaypee Greens Golf Club, Noida.
She won this event on her debut in the national circuit. Popularly known as Oz among the local golf fraternity, she trains under Arjuna Awardee golfer Harmeet Kahlon at MGR and Chandigarh Golf Club.
She scored 33 in round 1 at seven-par, followed by round 2 score of 35 at five-par. The aggregate came out at 68 in the nine holes daily category.
Last year, while playing in her first international tournament, she shot a total of 83 (39-44) in Johannesburg to lead the U-7 category.
“It’s amazing to win an IGU national title on debut. I have been playing golf since four years now and looking ahead to play some more championships as Covid restrictions are slowly getting relaxed,” said Oz.
